Katie teaches group training classes at the East Greenbush Animal Hospital. The classes are limited to 10 dogs which allows Katie to give each pet parent individual time and attention. Every pre-k class starts with twenty minutes of playtime so that your puppy can learn good socialization skills and be confident around other dogs and people.
Your puppy will also learn basic obedience cues and parents will learn how to solve basic puppy problems, such as biting and potty training.
At the end of pre-k, puppies can take the S.T.A.R. Puppy test.
Kindergarten continues your puppy's training and socialization by teaching more basic obedience cues, getting puppies to respond consistently and preparing parents for the next stage of their puppy's development, adolescence.
This program is designed for the typical family dog. Katie uses positive reinforcement training methods to teach your dog basic obedience cues, as well as other vital cues all dogs need to know.
Dogs under one year will be allowed to take the S.T.A.R. Puppy test during the last class.
Family Dog II continues your dogs training by teaching them more obedience cues and helping them learn to listen and respond, even when they are distracted or are far away.
Pro Dog I is for those who want a really well behaved dog and the certificate to prove it! In Pro Dog I we prepare dogs for the Canine Good Citizen Exam, which is given during the last class.
Want to bring your dog to nursing homes, schools, or hospitals? Pro Dog II teaches your dog to be a Therapy Dog with the K9 to 5 National Therapy Dog program!
In-home private training is the perfect solution for dogs who would have a hard time in a group class setting, or need help with a specific behavioral problem. Each set of training sessions are tailored to what your dog needs to learn as well as what you want him to learn. Katie helps with everything from potty training to sit and down to changing aggressive behaviors.
